The Vintage Rosery
Unless otherwise noted, all photographs were taken of the roses in our gardens located in Needville, Texas (zone 8b.)
Rose growers claim this is “one of the best summer flowering roses”. It blooms almost all through the year with little, light pink, very double flowers. It makes a great landscaping rose and can be used in mass, or as a hedge. It can grow to 4 feet tall. The foliage is bright green and shiny.
Texas A&M certified "The Fairy" as an EarthKind rose. Out of the first 120 roses tested over a multi-year period, "The Fairy" was one of the eleven that could withstand no synthetic chemical spraying for fungus or insect pests.
Bred in Essex, England in 1932 by John Bentall.
