The Vintage Rosery
Unless otherwise noted, all photographs were taken of the roses in our gardens located in Needville, Texas (zone 8b.)
Plant `Mermaid' and then quickly get out of her way! If you have the space, though, this is a beautiful rose and a useful screen. Do not plant it near a walkway, however, as its thorns are deadly. The single blooms are very fragrant and soft yellow/cream, with big, showy, yellow stamens. If left to its own devises, it will grow up to 20' and will bloom off and on all season long.
