Hybrid Perpetual
1842
We planted dozens of these before we knew that Hybrid Perpetuals should not be planted south of I-10 (in Houston) due to the heat! I finally learned how to treat it, though. I prune it hard, just like it was a Hybrid Tea, and it does fine. The blooms are pink and very double, and they sit right on top of the foliage, like plates balancing on poles. Its smaller size makes it perfect for a container.
