Madame Isaac Pereire
Bourbon
1881

The flowers of `Mme. Isaac Periere' are at their best in the cooler months of spring and fall. Its long 5'-7' canes make it a good candidate for pegging: pinning down the canes to encourage more blooms. Otherwise, it is a rather gawky looking plant, so prune it down to a manageable size shrub if you don't peg it. The blooms are very double and dark pink, with a fragrance you will not easily forget.
