The Vintage Rosery
Needville, Texas

Unless otherwise noted, all photographs were taken of the roses in our gardens located in Needville, Texas (zone 8b.)

Any rose will enhance a flower arrangement, but these old garden roses seem to last longer after being cut. When selecting roses for a vase, choose roses that have not opened completely. Recut them submerged under water when you get them inside. Instead of plain water, a commercial flower preservative will prolong their life. A 50/50 mixture of flat 7-Up and water will also do the trick.
